Admissions Authority

Idle C of E Primary School is a Voluntary Aided Church of England school. This means that the Governing Body is the admissions authority and is responsible for setting and applying our admissions arrangement.

Our Ethos

As a Church of England school, our admissions arrangements reflect our Christian foundation and values of love, courage and joy.

We welcome applications from all families, whether or not they are of a faith background. However, where there are more applications than places available, priority may be given to applicants who meet specific criteria, including faith-based criteria, as detailed in our policy.

Supplementary Information Form (SIF)

If you wish your application to be considered under faith-based criteria, you must also complete a Supplementary Information Form (SIF).

  • The SIF is available to download below
  • Completed forms must be returned directly to the school
  • The deadline for submission is 15th January annually

Faith Reference

For applications under faith criteria, a church reference form should be completed by a minister or faith leader and returned to the school by the closing date.

It is the responsibility of parents/carers to ensure that all supporting documentation is received on time.

Oversubscription

If there are more applications than places available, places will be allocated according to our oversubscription criteria, which are set out clearly in our Admissions Policy.

Children with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP) naming the school will be admitted before the application of oversubscription criteria, in line with statutory requirements.

Appeals

Please visit the Make an Appeal page of the Bradford Council website for details of the appeals process, including an appeal timetable.

In-Year Admissions

Applications for places outside the normal admissions round (in-year admissions) should be made directly to the school.
